What Are the Supported Codecs?

When two of the connected end-user devices begin to talk with each other, they will negotiate which codec to use by comparing the ones they have in common.

We support the following codecs:

  • G.722 (supported by CommPeak Dialer, Commpeak Cloud PBX, and CommPeak Softphone)
  • G.729a
  • G.711u/a
  • GSM
  • ADPCM
  • iLBC.

NOTE

G.722 Wideband audio codec is supported in CommPeak Dialer, Commpeak Cloud PBX, and CommPeak Softphone providing crystal clear phone calls and sharper, crisper voices.

This support allows for high definition broadcasts from peer to peer from the agent to the leads via CommPeak by following the flow like this: agent device → dialer → CommPeak → ISP → callee device.

Please note that call quality depends on both the device you use and your provider.

If you're using a provider that supports G.722 Wideband codec, HD will provide superior call quality.
