2FA Login Steps

Login how to complete two-factor authentication steps via email or the Google Authenticator app.

Logging in to CommPeak Dialer or Cloud PBX with your username and password consists of two steps. First, you enter your credentials and click Login.

Then, the system asks you to complete the second step of 2FA via email or the Google Authenticator app as follows.

Additionally, learn how you can log in through external identity providers if such options are configured in your system.

2FA via Email

If your user is required to configure 2FA via email, follow these steps:

  1. After entering your username and password, you will be redirected to the OTP page:

A one-time passcode will be sent to your registered email address.

IMPORTANT

The passcode will be available for the next 10 minutes.

TIP: Copy-Paste Supported

You can copy the one-time code from the email and paste it directly into the OTP input field in your browser.
Additionally, the email contains a one-time link that allows you to open a new browser tab with the required one-time code pre-filled.

  1. Enter the correct passcode on the OTP page and click Validate.

  1. Upon entering the correct passcode, the login will be successful.

I didn’t receive the one-time passcode in my email

Check your email’s “Spam” or “Junk” folder to ensure the passcode isn’t hidden there.
If needed, you can request a new one-time passcode every 3 minutes by clicking the link below the Validate button.

2FA via Google Authenticator App

If your user is required to configure 2FA using the Google Authenticator app, set it up on the first login as follows:

  1. After entering your username and password, you will be redirected to the Google Authenticator Registration page.
    Download and install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.

  1. Scan the QR code on the screen using the app on your mobile device:

    1. Click the plus icon in the bottom right.

    2. Click Scan a QR code.

    3. Once the QR code is scanned, the app will generate a one-time passcode.

  2. Enter the passcode in the system and click Validate to complete verification.

  3. After completing the setup, you will get ten backup recovery codes. These should be stored securely for recovery purposes.

IMPORTANT

Copy the passcodes and store them in a secure place to be used if you lose access to the app or your mobile device.

  1. After you click The codes are saved, let me in, the Google Authenticator setup is complete, and you enter your CommPeak Dialer or Cloud PBX account.
    Upon your next and every subsequent login, you must input a one-time passcode from the Google Authenticator.
