Segments

Learn how to create targeted contact segments based on filters such as location, behavior, or previous interactions, and use them in SMS campaigns.

You can create segments by picking specific contacts from different lists based on filters.

For example, you can select all numbers that clicked a specific URL from the UK. The segment can then be used in campaigns along with contact lists.

To create a segment:

  1. Expand the Contacts section in the main menu and go to the Segments tab.

  2. Click Add Segment on the right or on an empty page if you haven't added any segments yet.

  3. In the Add New Segment window , configure segment settings:

    1. Enter the name and description of the new contact segment.

    2. Apply filters and set their values to extract data from specific lists and create a new segment. To refine your selection further, click Add More below the Filter drop-down list to combine multiple filters.
      You can select from the following filters:

      • existing contact lists or segments

      • contacts created before or after a specific date

      • those who clicked on Short URL , registered or made First-Time Deposits (FTDs) in chosen campaigns

      • those who clicked on links, registered, or made First-Time Deposits (FTDs) through chosen URL offers

      • countries of origin

      • cities of origin.

  4. Click Create Segment, and it will appear on the Segments page.

After the segment status changes to Ready, it becomes available for SMS campaigns.

Click the information icon in the Actions column to view more details about filters or campaigns associated with a specific segment.
