What Are Billing Increments?

Learn what billing increments are.

Answer

The billing increment is how we (and the telecom industry) calculate our rates to bill your calls.

For example, if you call a country for 10 seconds, you are charged for 12 seconds (the call minimum is 6 seconds, and 2 × 6 seconds since this is a 6-second increment call) instead of the full minute.

If you call for 10 seconds, you are charged for 1 minute (60-second minimum call charge, 60-second increments).
