Inbox Role Permissions
Learn how to manage roles and permissions in the TextPeak Inbox tab. This guide covers default Inbox roles like Admin, Manager, and Agent and explains how to create and customize new roles for your team.
The Inbox tab in the Role Permissions section lists the roles assigned to inbox users, allowing them to view and work in the TextPeak Inbox.
IMPORTANT
Only users with the enabled inbox permission can access the Inbox tab.

The Inbox role permissions tab
On this tab, you have the following three default roles. You can click Expand All for each role to view its specific permissions:
- Inbox Admin - has full access to all Inbox settings and can manage everything related to inbox, including all spaces and teams.
NOTE
The platform contains only one Inbox Admin role. It is the highest role in the inbox hierarchy.
- Inbox Manager - can manage their own assigned spaces and teams.
- Inbox Agent - can manage conversations.
Admins can create new roles for inbox managers or agents and customize their access by deselecting specific role permissions as needed.

Click Add New Role in the top right.

Specify the role name.

To create a new manager or agent role, toggle the Inbox Manager or Inbox Agent switch to the right. Alternatively, you can create a custom role that combines both manager and agent permissions.

Uncheck desired permission boxes.

Click Save Changes.
