Configuring DIDs to Forward Inbound SMS to TextPeak

A step-by-step guide to configuring forwarding SMS messages sent to DIDs to your CommPeak SMS account

You can change the configuration of your DID numbers so that SMS messages you receive to them are forwarded to TextPeak.

Complete the following steps in your CommPeak Portal account.

Step 1: Create DID Delivery URI

  1. Go to DIDs in the main menu and click Configure to open the DID Configuration page.

  2. In DID Configuration, expand the DID SMS/Fax Delivery URIs tab.

  3. Click Create DID Delivery URI.

  4. Select the Send to TextPeak checkbox.

  5. Add an email address to which the system will forward your SMS messages.

  6. Click Save.

Step 2: Enable the Delivery URI for DIDs

  1. In DID Configuration, expand to the DID Numbers tab.

  2. Select the numbers for which you would like to apply the action.

  3. Choose selected DIDs in the first drop-down list above the table.

  4. Choose Set DID SMS Delivery URI in the second drop-down list.

  5. Choose the newly created URI in the next drop-down list.

  6. Click Apply Changes.

    After your request has been processed, the SMS Delivery icon will appear in the Forwarding column. In TextPeak, you will start receiving all incoming SMS messages to these DID numbers.
